IDSBA Policy Regarding Use of Images of Original Artwork Online

Our website www.idsba.com was created to support IDSBA’s mission “to increase public awareness and appreciation of botanical art and Indonesia’s biodiversity”.Online publication of images of its members’ artwork also supports IDSBA’s mission ”to support botanical artists in developing themselves and ensure the continuation of botanical art in Indonesia; to create a forum to challenge botanical artists to strengthen their artistic skills, to broaden their knowledge of botanical science, and share ideas, issues, and information related to botanical art; and foster good interrelation among members and external parties in the botanical art community.”

Members are encouraged to display images of their work on the site and participate in the Members’ Gallery to gain broader exposure of their art, in accordance to IDSBA’s standards. We respect the intellectual property rights of our artists, obtain permission for use of artists’ works online, give credit to the artists for their work and display copyright notices for shown images. We would also like to reiterate our Call for Entry policy, which states that images submitted for exhibitions may be used in publicity material related to the exhibition, including on the website, before, during and after the exhibition without further permission being sought. We take reasonable precautions to deter copyright infringement and guard against improper use of images that appear on the site but we are not responsible for unlawful actions of others outside our control. Any comments, concerns or suggestions regarding this policy or the display of particular images may be directed to
