Pithecellobium dulce (id: Asem Londo).
Fam. Fabaceae. Native Tropical American

Description:
Treess plant can grow up to 15 m. Leaf is bipinnates comprises of 2 pinnae and each pinnae has 2 leafs. Leaflet is ellipte to obovate-ellipte, rounded to heart-shaped tip and unequal base. Flowers is small, cream-white coloured and occurs in group of 8-20. Fruits is spirally coiled into a circle ripening from green to red or brown and splits open along both edges to reveal 5-9 seed within. The Seed is coated by edible fleshy white or pinkish aril.
